North Circuit

01

4 days · Approx. 71 km

The Abbey Circuit invites you to a four-day, roughly 71-km walk along its northern section, right in the heart of the Eastern Townships. Starting from the Abbey, head to Gîte R112 Nord, then cross Mont-Orford National Park along its bike path toward Eastman. Day three takes you through the woods to Bolton-Est, before a peaceful return to the Abbey on the final day, where the boutique awaits. Enjoy a picnic lunch each day in handpicked spots: a clearing, by a stream, or in village parks. With varied trails, ever-changing scenery, and an accessible pace of 15 to 19 km per day.

South Circuit

02

4 days · Approx. 71 km

The South Circuit offers a four-day hike of about 71.5 km, taking you through lakes, valleys, and the border region. From the Abbey, head south facing Owl’s Head and Elephant Mountain, with stops at the Saint-Benoît Marina and the Jewett General Store. Two loops starting from Mansonville follow: one along Ruiter Brook, and the other on Bellevue Road, steeped in the enigmatic history of Gerald Bull, the Frontières Covered Bridge, and a view of Jay Peak. The hillier return route winds along Sugar Loaf Pond all the way back to the Abbey.
